Do you have a hard time making your perfume last
longer? You feel like your fragrance fades away a short while after you spray
it? There’s more to wearing your perfume than to just spritz here and there and
then you’re done. You should to know how and where to spray it. There are 3
simple steps to make your perfume last longer; firstly learn about the types of
fragrances available, next is to moisturize your skin, and last is know where
to spray it.
The first thing you can do to make your perfume last
longer is to know what type of fragrance it is. You should know your perfume
type to know how much or how often you need to use it. Look at the
concentration. The strength of the scent depends on how concentrated your fragrance
is. There are several types of fragrance; Perfume, Eau de Perfume, Eau de
Toilette, Cologne, and Body Spray. Perfume contains about 20% fragrance oil in
it. It last the longest. The next type is Eau de Perfume. It has about 10%-20%
fragrance oil. Eau de Toilette has a lighter scent. It has about 10% fragrance
oil. Then there’s cologne which has about 5% fragrance oil. The last type is
body spray. You can spray it all over your body to freshen up. It contains 1% -
3% fragrance oil, so the scent isn’t too strong.
Next is to moisturize. Perfume last much longer on
well moisturized skin. Moisturize creates a great base for your perfume. If you
have dry skin, it’d just soak up your perfume particles straight away and you
don’t get the longevity that you want. So
it’s important to use a good moisturizer or body lotion before you spray your
perfume. Make sure your moisturizer is fragrance-free or it doesn’t smell too
strong so it will not overpower your perfume. It’s even better to apply a
matching moisturizer to your perfume because layered scent last much longer.
Last but not least, know where to spray your perfume.
It’s important to know which places you should aim your perfume to get the most
out of it. The best place to spray it is on your pulse points. Pulse points are
areas on your skin where you feel your heart beat. When the heart beats, the
pulse disturbs the surface on the skin. When your fragranced skin is disturbed
by the pulse beating, it helps refresh the scent. Choose some spots like your
wrists, behind the ears, the nape of your neck, and the back of your knees. If
you spray it on your wrists, be sure not to rub them together because it will distort
the smell and stop it from lasting for a long time.
Those 3 steps are easy to do to make your perfume last
longer. Remember to read up what type of fragrance is, apply moisturizer or
body lotion on your skin, and then spray it on your pulse points. By following
those easy steps you will smell good all day long.
