The Gunung Padang site is a prehistoric site in herited from megalithic culture in west java. The place is on border of Gunung Padang, karyamukti village, campaka district, cianjur regency. The location can be reached20 kilometers from the intersection of the city of Warungkondang sub-district. The main complex area is apporoximately 900 m2, located at an altitude of 885m dpl. The site area is around 3 ha, make it as the largest punden complex in southeast Asia. 

On Gunung  Padang, west java, there are rocky complex remains and several monuments are considered as archaeological wonders. The mount Padang pyramid is older than the two old civilazations in the world. The mount Padang has 3 levels hills. Where ate there levels that form a pyramid and there are and there is a shaped stone rectangle stuck to the ground. The function of the Gunung Padang site is estimated to be a place of worship for people who settled there around 2000 years Bc. Revealed there are many important things on mount Padang. Starting from musical instruments from stone to trace siring as a sign of advanced technology. Although researched from various sides and by various groups, mount Padang is still a mystery. That said, the site is older than the pyramids in Egypt, which existed since 2,500 bc. 

The location of the site is steep hills and difficult to reach. The complex is elongated, turning the surface of a hill completed by a row of large andesite stones forming a square. This place had indeed been saved by local residents. Residents think of it as the place of Prabu Siliwangi, Sundanese king, he tried to build a palace in overnight. For some rocks in the area of Mount Padang there is also like a chair like the king's seat facing towards Mount Gede. Still in the location of the Mount Padang rocks, in this location we can find deadly rock. That is stones which have pictures of human palms. There are also stones are named rock Tapak Kujang. That is stones like resemble traditional Sundanese weapons. For people and local residents, the stones at the site of the Gunung Padang site have their own meaning and message. This site is 14,000 to 25,000 years old. And to reach the Gunung Padang Site there are two access roads to the summit that is with going through modern manmade stairs for +/- 350 meters or by going through the stairs found when Gunung Padang was first discovered with the distenc is +/- 185 meter but the access road for these stairs is very steep.
